The Beauty

The Beauty is a novella written by Aliya Whiteley dealing with a dystopian future where all women have perished. I handled every part of this project, aside from the authoring of the story. I wanted to design the volumes to relate directly to the themes and events of Whiteley's surrealist work with all of the tools and freedom that designing and self-binding the books would give me. This includes changing the textures, size, and binding styles of different volumes, as well as varying the type choices and interior layout.
